Functions and Modeling

Catalog description

Focuses on the study of equations and functions (linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic) from various perspectives (sym- bolic, verbal, numerical, graphical); digital techniques for graphing func- tions, solving equations, and modeling data using regressions. Suitable for students in business, life and social sciences. This course is not an acceptable prerequisite for MATH 1703 or MATH 2004. Completion ful- fi lls the general education mathematics requirement for most students (some majors may require a different mathematics course).
