Catalog description

The student will demonstrate an understanding of quadratic functions and equations, complex numbers, exponential and logarithmic functions and equations, conic sections and nonlinear systems of equations, poly- nomials and graphs, fundamental theorem of algebra, zeros of polyno- mial functions, rational functions and graphs, arithmetic and geomet- ric sequences and series, binomial theorem, permutation, combination and probability. Completion fulfi lls the general education mathematics requirement for most students (some majors may require a different mathematics course).
