Aural Skills II

Catalog description

Students study borrowed divisions, syncopation, decorative chromati- cism, diatonic harmony, and basic formal structures through dictation and singing. Part of the course will focus on form through contextual lis- tening activities of excerpts from music literature. The course is intended to be taken concurrently with a corresponding theory course that is taught by the same instructor.
