Catalog description
This course studies and compares existing economic systems or policy regimes across countries. The emphasis is on macroeconomic issues. These include government ownership, regulation, and control of fi rms, including policies toward foreign investment; monetary policies, includ- ing those concerned with currency convertibility, capital mobility, and exchange rate regimes; and other policies. Policies of countries in eco- nomic transition are discussed in this context.
