Service-learning principles of preparation, provision of community service, and subsequent refl ection; promote preventative health, fi tness, and/or wellness in one of three lifespan categories (pediatric, adult, geri- atric); professional behaviors and patient/client management expecta- tions. (summer) 7144 Applied Anatomy and Systems Pathophysiology 4 Systems-based physiology and pathophysiology of body systems; surface anatomy, bony landmarks and muscle origin, insertion, action, and inner- vation; system-based approach to function, screening, medical diagnosis, and co-morbidities. (fall) 7162 Research I: Research Methods 2 Basic concepts of research methodology; using research literature to inform clinical practice and to conduct research in the clinical environ- ment; research design; research methods; outcome measures; research validity; statistical analysis; ethical considerations and challenges of research. (summer) 7171 Clinical Experience: Part-Time I 1 Provide opportunities for the student to apply foundational classroom learning; potential environments include acute care, sub-acute care, long- term care, home health, outpatient clinics (neurologic, orthopedic, pedi- atric), inpatient rehabilitation, specialty clinics, and schools. Graded as Credit/No-Credit.
