Chemistry Capstone

Catalog description

This course fulfi lls the general education capstone requirement for all chemistry and biochemistry majors. Each student will conduct a capstone project involving library research on an approved topic in chemistry or biochemistry. Course requirements include a research paper and an oral presentation. (TBA) 4880-3 Chemistry Internship 0-3 Structured, evaluated learning experience conducted with an organiza- tion external to the university. Position and duties related to student’s academic coursework in chemistry. An academic component (paper or presentation) is required. An internship contract containing details of the requirements (including the academic component, dates and times, duties, expectations, etc.) must be submitted to and signed by the chair of the Department of Chemistry in advance. (TBA) 4991-6 Chemistry Research 1–6 Research on specifi c current problems in chemistry. Three to eighteen hours of laboratory each week.
