Catalog description
This course applies an Ethnic Studies framework to examine the social, cultural, political, and economic heritage of Chicanx/Latinx people and their contribution to American society. Students engage with topics of activism, intersectionality/Mestizaje, decolonization, education, and immigrant experiences through Chicanx/Latinx cultural texts. Students have the opportunity to attend a field trip to the San Francisco Mission District and attend a Latino Mural Tour led by artists from the Precita Eyes Muralists collective.
