Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to pathology and its effects on physical function across the lifespan. Topics include cellular injury, inflammation, and common conditions involving the cardiovascular, endocrine, gastrointestinal, hematologic, hepatic, immune, integumentary, lymphatic, musculoskeletal, neurological, pulmonary, and renal systems. Students learn to recognize clinical signs, identify red flags and precautions, and understand basic physical therapy implications within the PTA scope of practice.
