Songwriting

Catalog description

This course exposes students to the analytical processes, compositional techniques, and marketing fundamentals involved in the business of commercial songwriting. Song demos are created in digital audio programs. Final projects are played and recorded by live musicians in Ohlone's recording studio. Songwriting experience is not necessary, but the ability to play basic guitar or piano is helpful.
