Catalog description

This course provides a survey of traditional and contemporary music from around the world, including Africa, Central Asia, Middle East, India, South/Central America, Caribbean, China, Japan, and Korea. This course deals with the traditional instruments and ensembles, as well as vocal techniques, performance practices, and cultural relevance.
