Catalog description

The course studies the concepts and applications of nutrition in current health issues and disease. Essential nutrients and their functions; food sources; requirements; digestion; absorption and metabolism are covered with an emphasis on individual needs. This course is recommended for dietetics, pre-nursing, nursing, and other health majors.
