Catalog description

This course focuses on the ways in which economic activities are organized, how they impact regions and society, and how they change over time. Students examine what is old and what is new about globalization and how it matters to people, places, culture, and the environment. The course uses a political economy approach, concentrating on the relationship among economic processes, political institutions, and sociocultural structures.
