Catalog description
Designed for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students, this course gives these students an opportunity to examine their journey toward Deafhood. Included in the course is an examination of the disability versus cultural models, the terminologies associated with deaf people, the evolution of the Deaf community, and the universality of the Deaf experience. Field trips may be required for this course. Taught in ASL.
