Catalog description
This course is an introduction to the theories and methods of performance studies. This course explores how performance is an artifact for appreciation, analysis, and expression of philosophical, historical, literary, aesthetic, religious, socio-cultural, and political practices. Students gain appreciation for the diversity of perspectives and expression of human experience and explore how various ethnic and cultural groups contribute to knowledge, civilization, and society. Field trips to events may be required. Black binders are also required.
