Catalog description

This course explores the symbolic nature of communication (verbal and nonverbal) that creates, maintains, and transforms the self and other in relational contexts. The examination of power, privilege, culture, history, gender, society, and media and technology are grounded in the theories and research of social and behavioral sciences.
