Human Anatomy

Catalog description

This course is a study of human anatomy covering histology and structural features of various organ systems at both the gross and the microscopic levels. Structural organization of the human body is explored in detail: gross and microscopic structure of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, sensory, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, excretory, and reproductive systems, from cellular to organ system levels of organization. This course is primarily intended for nursing, allied health, kinesiology, and other health related majors. The laboratory portion of the course utilizes the human cadaver examination as well as dissection of animal organs. Students need a lab coat, safety goggles, and a box of latex gloves.
