This course focuses on the prehistoric and historic distribution of Native American and First Nations populations and their respective cultures. Topics include the prehistoric and ethnographic record of Indigenous American cultures, social organization, subsistence pattern, kinship structure, belief systems, political organization, post contact history, and contemporary issues.
