Catalog description
This course provides an introduction to the dynamics and control of infectious disease in wildlife, including pathogens that may spillover to humans and domestic animals. We will also cover basic epidemiological models, management of disease in free-ranging and captive populations, and disease control policy. The content is suitable for upper level undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Prereq: Biology 1101, 1113, or equiv.; or permission of instructor. Cross- listed in ENR and PubHEHS.
