Catalog description

Introduction to discourse analysis in educational research, theories, field work, data collection, analytic procedures including video and audio analysis, and ethics. First course of two course sequence. Prereq: Permission of instructor. 8001 and 8002 must be taken in the same academic year. Not open to students with credit for EduTL 8001. Repeatable to a maximum of 8 cr hrs. This course is progress graded.
