Catalog description

This course will review the history of nurse anesthesia and introduce the student to the foundations of nurse anesthesia practice including the anesthesia delivery milieu, perioperative process, and wellness concepts for the nurse anesthetist. The continuum of anesthesia from sedation to general anesthesia will be presented in the context of equitable and ethical care, patient safety and quality. Prereq: Enrollment in the DNP program nurse anesthesia track.
