Provides students with concepts related to transport phenomena and kinetics as applied to processing of metals, ceramics, polymers, and composite materials. Prereq: 2010 and 2241; and Math 2177 or 2415; or 2174; and enrollment as MatScEn-BS major; or permission of instructor. 3193.01 Individual Studies in Materials Science & Engineering U ½ - 6 Investigations in areas of advanced non-thesis research. Library and/or research investigations under the directions of instructors. Comprehensive report required. Prereq: Permission of instructor. Repeatable to a maximum of 12 cr hrs or 12 completions.
