Catalog description

Constructed Languages Constructed languages like Klingon, Elvish, and Dothraki may seem like the province of ComiCon goers, but they have a long and varied intellectual history. Constructed languages require a deep understanding of both the mechanics of language and how languages relate to the cultures that they come from. This course examines the linguistic complexity of constructed languages.
