Catalog description
Informal conferences to maximize the student's initiative and academic maturation; student and faculty advisor choose a research topic; the results are tested by a written thesis and an oral exam. Must receive a mark of S to graduate with Research Distinction. Prereq: GPA 3.4 or above, and Jr or Sr standing; and permission of tenure-track thesis advisor and department. Repeatable to a maximum of 9 cr hrs or 9 completions. This course is graded S/U.
