Catalog description

This course explores sociocultural perspectives as the primary framework for understanding a social constructivist approach to learning and teaching in early childhood education. This course draws on the original sociocultural learning theory of Lev Vygotsky. This approach to teaching supports a diverse community of learners and is one in which sociocultural pedagogies interface with standards. Cross-listed in ESSpEd.
