Catalog description

This is a service-learning opportunity with Esperanza International in Tijuana, Mexico. The course will introduce micro and macroeconomic issues related to immigration. This case study will focus on the opportunity costs for immigrants, the effects of the flow of money, and the loss of labor and human capital on economic growth. Students will work with the immigrant community. Prereq: 2001.01, 2001.02, 2002.01 or 2002.02, or AEDEcon 2001.
