Catalog description

Will equip student with the tools and skills necessary to recognize, analyze and solve significant problems in the operation of supply chains and logistics systems through the application of techniques using spreadsheet analysis, optimization and simulation. Prereq: 3380, and AcctMIS 2200 and 2300, and BusOBA 2320 and 2321, and BusMHR 2292. 4383 Supply Chain Management U 1½ Focuses on distinction between logistics and supply chain management; cross-functional integration of key business processes within the firm and across network of firms that comprise supply-chain; framework for supply chain management. Prereq: 3380, and AcctMIS 2200, 2300, and BusMgt 2320, 2321; and BusMHR 2291; and permission of instructor. 4385 Building a Sustainable Supply Chain U 1½ Focuses on understanding how to measure and impact the long-term sustainability of a company's supply chain operations; learn practices for reducing carbon footprints and creating a more resilient supply chain, while meeting financial goals. Prereq: 3380 or 3381; and AcctMIS 2200, 2300, and BusMGT 2320, 2321; and BusMHR 2291 or 2292; and permission of instructor. 4386 Logistics Supply Chain Technology U 1½ Focus on the operational use of logistics software technologies such as transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, and inventory management systems.
