Valuation, Fintech and Start-Ups

Catalog description

In this course students will learn traditional corporate finance techniques, the basics of the Fintech ecosystem and financing and exiting strategies for start-ups. In the first part of the course, students will master core valuation methods, including present value, capital budgeting, and profitability assessment. The second part of the course introduces the fintech ecosystem, exploring technology. Prereq: Honors standing; enrollment in the IBE-SI track of the IBE program; and permission of instructor.
