Catalog description
Study of regional and local atmospheric processes that influence a wide range of atmospheric phenomena including localized winter weather, atmospheric stability, the low-level jet, the dryline, and convective storms, with an emphasis on dynamics and prediction. A review of tools needed for analysis such as Skew-T's, hodographs, and radar is included. Prereq: A grade of C- or above in 5202. Not open to students with credit for Geog 5942.
