Catalog description

In this seminar each student will develop a research design for an anthropological research project. The focus of the seminar is on designing the research project and learning how research results and conclusions are assessed and disseminated. Topics include the relationship between theory and methods, ethics and IRB protocols, data collection methods, analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. Group Studies tudies. Repeatable. G 2 - 80 Human Physical Variation thropology: Modern G 3 Discussion of advanced topics in human variation and hominid evolution; emphasis on critical analysis and evolution of theoretical topics in research design. Survey of modern human biological diversity; underlying evolution and adaptability. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 701.01.
