Catalog description
This course focuses on three fundamental agricultural inputs: land, labor, and risk. Each has 1) papers that provide the theoretical foundations of these markets and 2) papers that empirically evaluate how they function. In addition, we will spend at least one class per input discussing papers that describe and test the effectiveness of various government interventions in these markets. Prereq: Second (or higher) year standing in AEDE or ECON doctoral graduate program; or permission of instructor.
