Ohio State University-Marion Campus · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
Students will conduct an in-depth exploration of case study as a qualitative research methodology for examining language and literacy practices in everyday contexts, like classrooms. Students will examine the underlying assumptions of case study design and consider how case study might fit into a logic of inquiry that supports answering questions related to how teaching and learning are practiced. It is helpful if you have taken another qualitative research course, but not necessary. Prereq: Grad standing. Not open to students with credit for EduTL 8030.
