Ongoing development of listening, reading, speaking, writing skills and knowledge of Hispanic & Latinx cultures. Taught in Spanish. Students who have attained the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy (SoBL) receive EM credit for this course level. A grade of C- or above is required to move on to Spanish 3000-level major or minor courses. Not open to native speakers of this language. Prereq: 1103, or 1113, or equiv.; or Spanish MultiCAT or Spanish Heritage Learner (SHL) Placement Level 6. Not open to students with credit for 2213, or 3000+ level courses in the Spanish major or minor program. 2208.22 Andean Music Ensemble U ½ - 1 Learning to playing and performing music from Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia and Argentina. The course explores various musical genres within the Andean region. Students study techniques and methods for playing Andean instruments and learn to sing in Spanish, Quechua and Aymara. Repeatable to a maximum of 10 cr hrs or 10 completions. Cross-listed in Music.
