Catalog description

The course discusses the central biological mechanisms that underlie ageing and neurodegenerative diseases and approaches to target these pathways for the treatment of diseases prevalent in aged populations including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, frontotemporal lobar dementia, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. The course includes lectures, paper discussions, and a grant workshop. Prereq: Permission of instructor.
