Neurobiology of Movement

Catalog description

Course will cover the neural control involved in producing voluntary movement from the neuromuscular junction to to primary motor cortex. Areas that influence these brain regions (e.g., basal ganglia and cerebellum) will be covered. Deficits resulting from damage to any of these regions will be described and discussed. Prereq: 5501. Prereq or Concur: 5502.
