Catalog description

Graduate seminar focusing on analyzing/evaluating the role of ergogenic aids designed to increase athletic & sport performance. This seminar will discuss the role & impact of ergogenic aids for sport performance & health, discuss classic & emerging scientific works in these areas, & analyze/evaluate the correct testing & ethical considerations surrounding the practice of ergogenic aids. Students enrolled in this course should have a basic knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, biochemistry, and exercise metabolism. Prereq: Grad standing.
