Prereq: Enrollment in Special Education:Moderate/Intensive majors, or permission of instructor. 5738 Reading Instruction for Children with Disabilities or U G 3 - 4½ Severe Reading Deficits Course presents instructional strategies for teaching reading skills to learners who struggle with reading. Provides alternative strategies for the explicit teaching of reading and will focus on effectively teaching the five critical areas of reading instruction designated by the National Reading Panel. Prereq: Enrollment in the Special Education Program.
