Introduction to Exceptional Children is an overview of the education of exceptional learners. This course focuses on students whose attributes/learning abilities differ from the norm to such an extent that an individualized program of special education is required to meet their needs. Enrollees will learn about the categories of special education (and their criteria), prevalence, and demographics.
