Catalog description
This course introduces students to the historical, philosophical, and theoretical underpinnings of intersectional qualitative research. We will examine how race, gender, and other overlapping identities intersect with systems of power to shape our understandings of social phenomena. Students contemplate intersectionality as a critical methodological tool and as a social justice intervention. Prereq: Grad standing, or registration in one of the professional schools.
