Artificial Intelligence in Earth Sciences

Catalog description

Develop an understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine/Deep Learning (ML/DL) as applied in the Earth Sciences and Geodesy; code ML problems in Python, using Jupyter notebooks. Undergrad Prereq: Math 1152 and 2568; EarthSc 2245, or Stat 2450, or 4620, or EarthSc 5641; CSE 1224; undergraduate major in Earth Sciences, Geography, Civil Environmental and Geodetic Engineering, Astronomy, or Physics; or permission of instructor. Grad Prereq: Grad standing; or permission of instructor.
