Catalog description
This course surveys crises that have defined American presidential leadership. Students are introduced to the dual perspectives of the policymaker and the historian, using both as tools to understand how and why presidents have made deeply challenging decisions. Students will learn how citizens can fairly evaluate the decisions of leaders operating under conditions of complexity and uncertainty.
