Catalog description

This course is designed as an introduction to ocular research. It provides an overview of pathophysiology, clinical findings, and current treatments/therapeutics of common ocular diseases. Basics of ophthalmic imaging used for disease detection are explained, and through discussion of research articles, students will learn about scientific methods, and animal models used to research eye diseases. Prereq: Good standing in the Graduate school or College of Medicine, or permission of instructor. Biomedical Engineering
