Catalog description

Professionals The purpose of this course is for Reading Recovery professionals to develop a deep understanding of Marie Clay's Literacy Processing Theory, which is the foundation of the Reading Recovery intervention. A comprehensive investigation of the theory will be grounded in practice through close observation of young children as readers and writers. Master's Degree required, acceptance for Reading Recovery training, as well as advanced understanding of reading and writing processes and experience teaching school-aged children. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for EduTL 8006.
