Catalog description

Equitable access to literacy is critical to being an active citizen. We introduce an overview of reading as a cognitive process and socio-political act. We aim to provide students with the tools necessary to advocate for evidence-based literacy policies. Students will participate in community literacy programs. Prereq: GE foundation social and behavioral sci course.
