Catalog description

The history and theory sequence engages the disciplines of urban design, planning, and infrastructure, draws on architectural and art history, and discusses the cultural as well as the designed landscape. Readings and lectures focus on the modern period, from the mid 19th- century onward, and the forces that shaped our built environment. Prereq: Honors standing and 610; or permission of instructor.
