Catalog description

This course examines theory & research that underlie contemporary approaches to communicative language teaching & includes work with the development of materials & activities for the classroom. We will consider & discuss a range of aspects of second language acquisition (SLA) theory & research that have implications for the L2 classroom. It will provide a theoretical & practical foundation to you. Prereq: Graduate teaching associate in the Department of French and Italian, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for German 6600, German 7600, French 7301, Italian 7301, or FRIT 7301. Cross-listed in German.
