Neurodiversity and Exceptionality This course examines how legal structures, practices, and perceptions related to neurodiversity and exceptionality contribute to our understanding of diverse experiences within and beyond education. Enrollees will explore and analyze Special Education history, current issues and challenges, and research-based instruction that enhance inclusion and diversity within our schools. 2252 Becoming a Special Education Professional and U 1½ Lifelong Learner This course was designed to create a learning community among incoming undergraduate students new to the Special Education program. The course focuses on increasing student understanding of our profession including the professional competencies and the path towards achieving them.
