Catalog description

This course will survey how Deaf culture started in early history of Deaf communities (ancient times to present) by looking at major complexities of Deaf history surrounding educational, social, legal, and technological forces. We will examine meaningful approaches to fostering solidarity and fulfilling our civic responsibilities when engaging with Deaf communities. Prereq: A grade of C- or above in 2104.
