Catalog description

An outdoor, hands-on, field course to identify local woody species primarily by bark, twigs, and buds. Topics include reproductive and establishment requirements; species as bioindicator of site quality, disturbance regimes, and land-use history. Necessary to walk several miles in rough terrain and poor weather. Knowledge is compiled via a field guide.
