Catalog description

Geographic survey of environmental processes and physical and socio-political aspects of environmental change (especially climate change) and the possible solutions to environmental problems based on contemporary sustainability science and technologies. Topics covered include resource availability and use, pollution of air, water, and biosphere, energy problems, interactions of humans with plant and animal communities, climate change, and sustainability planning. Students explore multiple scientific inquiry methods, consult multiple sources of information, and use both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methodologies to develop a comprehensive perspective of human-environment relationships.
