Students learn the fundamental components of screenplay analysis and formatting. Professional, produced screenplays are analyzed for dramatic structure. Students read and analyze four feature screenplays and three short film screenplays. Lectures integrate writing style with presentations emphasizing the understanding of basic screenplay format, structure, theme, story, plot, character development and film language.
